With all the anti-flake moves in PUA land, why are men here complaining about a woman pacing out the relationship? We women call it pacing, you men might call it flakiness. So?
JD – Sounds like that girl had poorly executed Girl Game. She was coming on to you and being the pursuer, like a cougar in training (meaning women who are so desperate for attention that they don't get through their looks, etc., that they have to come across as easy to get it). It was transparent and *not* fun. Her words said one thing and her actions another. So I guess she wasn't pretty enough for you to go for it?
Bhetti – Excellent point about the high risk proposition of the men with too many options, who choose to exercise those options. And yes, it's more important to understand how to tailor what you do to the person in question, rather than follow some rigid rules or routines, or something.

There are women out there who would rather be in complete control of the relationship and be with someone “lower” than them, than aim for someone out of their league.
And thanks to Guy Game (as well as the growing realization by men everywhere as to what women are really feeling when they make these trade-offs), your strategy will fail, or, at best, reach a stalemate.
Someone who, as you say, “would rather be in complete control of the relationship” is someone who has de-prioritized sexual and romantic attraction for more practical considerations. While this may seem prudent at first, it is really a devil’s bargain. It means the man will have to make do with mediocre sex while his wife closes her eyes and thinks of that hunky but ultimately untamable alpha boyfriend from college who stretched her hole in unforgettable ways.
And even that wouldn’t be so bad if it was just medicore sex. But even worse is the fact that if the wife still has blood in her veins, i.e., she is still a woman, she will STILL be getting gina tingles from alpha males that she associates with outside of the house — her boss or coworkers, etc. This makes her a potential infidelity/cuckold risk to the husband.
